21-year-old kills Chhattisgarh man, rapes his wife next to his body

A 21-year-old man sneaked into a couple's house in Chhattisgarh's Ambikapur. He killed the woman's husband and raped her even as the man's corpse lay on the ground next to them. 

Karthik (21) thrashed the woman's husband Sukhlal (42) with a stick and he died on the spot 

Police in Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur arrested a man for killing another man and raping his wife even as the body of the victim lay on the ground. The incident happened on Monday night when the accused sneaked into the couple’s house when they were asleep.

Karthik (21) thrashed the woman’s husband Sukhlal (42) with a stick, killing him on the spot. The accused then threatened the woman and raped her even as her husband’s body was lying in a pool of blood.

An initial police probe revealed that when Karthik entered the couple’s house late at night, an argument broke out between two men as Sukhlal suspected his wife of having an affair with Karthik. The fight then took an ugly turn and Karthik beat Sukhlal to death.

Police filed a complaint against the accused on the basis of the woman’s complaint. The accused confessed to his crime in police custody and police filed an FIR against him under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sent him to jail.
